, at the bespoke setting that is the Bali
Room of Hotel Indonesia Kempinski, Jakarta, EKONID
succeeded in hosting another Spargelessen, or White
Asparagus Dinner, with friends, colleagues, partners
and families gathering together to celebrate this time-
honored German tradition.
Extending a special thanks to Turkish Airlines that
flew in the 450kg of White Asparagus into Indonesia
for the evening’s dinner, EKONID Managing Director
Mr. Jan Rönnfeld further expressed his gratitude to the
members who participated in the event and the sponsors
and EKONID staffers who made the night possible.
The sponsors were Mercedes-Benz Indonesia, DB
Schenker, Prost Beer and König Ludwig Weissbier,
Cikarang Dry Port and Oberoi Hotel & Resorts Indonesia.
A special thanks also to Hotel Indonesian Kempinski
Jakarta for providing the exceptional ambience for the
evening’s festivities.
EKONID’s Asparagus Dinner brings the
Spargelzeit
(Asparagus Season) to the German community in
Indonesia. During the asparagus season that traditionally
ends on June 24, the vegetable is treated as a festive
food, with homes and restaurants all over Germany
serving their own special take on this fine product.
This year was no exception, accommodating 312
guests; the lovely evening was once again a great
success for all
