Initiated by the German Embassy in Jakarta, in cooperation with the Goethe-Institute Jakarta and the German-
Indonesian Chamber of Industry of Commerce (EKONID), JERIN was introduced in 2011 as a series of events.
JERIN represents an interactive multimedia communication platform and provides extensive information
about German-Indonesian institutions, as well as their activities in Indonesia. It covers all topics, from politics,
economy, culture, education & science, social issues, studies to travelling to Germany – the information of
which is available in German, English and Bahasa Indonesia. Through its website, newsletters and social
media platforms, JERIN shares the latest news and events from German institutions in Indonesia. JERIN has
been successful in reaching more than 30,000 people from ages 18 to 50. With 30 registered institutions,
JERIN contributes strongly to the long-standing relationship between Germany and Indonesia.
