“Renewables-Made in Germany”
- EKONID and the GIZ have been closely working
together in the renewable energy sector for over five years within the framework of
the
PEP SEA
project. This partnership is supported by the German Federal Ministry
for Economics and Technology (BMWi). The year 2013 saw another successful
implementation within the ”Renewables – Made in Germany“–export initiative through
two major business delegation events in the fields of Biomass and Photovoltaic Hybrid
(May and September 2013). Both events together attracted more than 250 high level
participants from governmental institutions as well as the private sector, qualified
experts and professionals shared know-how from their respective fields. In addition
to providing the necessary market entry information and presenting the German
technologies, EKONID organized potential business partner searches through B2B
during match making and company visits for the 16 German participants joining the
delegation programmes.
Other highlights were several trade promotion delegation programs from German
states throughout the year of 2013:
EKONID’s delegation schedule started with a delegation from the
German state
of Thuringia
in March, comprising 11 companies from several sectors and led by
Thuringia’s State Minister of Economics, Mathias Machnig. Expert briefings, various
company visits and matchmaking meetings ensured a complete overall impression:
Investment possibilities, political framework and concrete business projects for the
German companies.
At the occasion of the
GREENRIGHT Green Building Exhibition and Conference
in April 2013
in Jakarta a business delegation from
Baden-Württemberg
was introducing “Green
Building Services and Technologies from the German Southwest“ to Indonesia.
Site visits within Indonesia are always of special interest for German delegates. Here,
they can both network and gain an authentic impression of their future business
partners, their way of manufacturing, service or logistics. The
bremenports delegation
in April 2013, led by Bremen’s Senator for Economic Affairs, Martin Günthner, comprised
company delegates and representatives from research institutes and visited the ports
of Tanjung Priok, Jakarta, Ujung Pandang, Makassar and Tanjung Perak, Surabaya.
