As member organizations do the AHK’s deliver high
quality service under the umbrella of
DEinternational and support, on behalf of
the German federal government, single local
governments and further federal institutions,
projects on the topic of renewable energy and
energy efficiency as well as VETnet – a cooperation
between the German chamber network worldwide
on work-based vocational education & training.
The German-Indonesian Chamber of Industry
and Commerce (EKONID) is acting as a strategic
interface between the German and Indonesian
economies. Here we are representing the bilateral
business interests of Indonesian and German
member companies and institutions and provide a
platform for international knowledge transfer. Our
core business is to support our members from both
countries in pursuing new trade and investment
opportunities.
The German-ASEAN Chamber Network
(GACN)
Added value is given through the establishment of
the German-ASEAN Chamber Network (GACN) as
our focus does not stop at Indonesia’s borders. As
part of the network, we act as an important partner
to strengthen the regional cooperation within
ASEAN as well as to support trade and investments
in the region. Companies, especially SME’s, can
take advantage of the numerous events – held in
order to promote knowledge transfer within the
ASEAN region – and gain in-depth market insights.
Furthermore, companies can profit from the long-
standing experience in the region from the GACN
founding members.
EKONID
Besides its services, which are necessary to
support its members effectively for market entry
or expansion here in Indonesia, EKONID head-
office in Jakarta also serves as a meeting point
and info-center as well as the first address for
enquiries from companies interested in Indonesia.
EKONID’s services range from market information
to customized advisory service for market entry,
particularly business partner search, market
information, legal information and corporate
services, tax services, personal services and trade
fairs.
Also represented in the EKONID building is
Germany Trade and Invest (GTAI), the foreign trade
and inward investment agency of the Federal
Republic of Germany. GTAI promotes Germany as
a business and technology location for investment
and supports companies based in Germany with
global market information.
Through Wisma Jerman, a unique cooperation
of the Goethe-Institut, the German Chamber of
Industry and Commerce supported by the German
embassy Jakarta, EKONID is represented as well
in Surabaya. Thus, through numerous events as
well as by providing the service portfolio of EKONID,
Wisma Jerman is an important pillar in the overall
EKONID network.
