Membership Report
As of the end of 2015, the EKONID network
comprised of a total of 506 members consisting of
corporate members – which represent the major
share of members – as well as institutional and
personal members. The membership list includes
well-established German companies, banks, as
well as many leading chemical, pharmaceutical,
electrical, engineering, construction and
automotive manufacturing companies. The
majority of our members are from the service
sector, wherein logistic as well as business-and-
legal consultants and companies in the power
sector are strongly represented. Out of the
manufacturing sector, companies for machinery
and equipment cover the major share although
companies within the chemical and pharmaceutical
industry comprise a huge percentage as well.
Within the primary sector companies operating in
the oil & gas business stood out.
For more detailed information about the field of
operations and our member activities in Indonesia,
please view our regular publication the Business
Partner 2014-15. It includes a compiled list of all
of our valued members and an updated version
is published every two years. The hard copy is
available free of charge for EKONID members. It is
also available for purchase upon request. The next
edition will be published in mid-2016.
Events 2015
In 2015, the EKONID event team organized a
wide range of events – starting from the monthly
networking “Get Together” in Jakarta and Surabaya
with special formats such as the EKONID Summer
Party, the EIBN (EU-Indonesia Business Networks)
Joint Gathering in Jakarta and Surabaya, as well as
Business Luncheons with high ranking government
representatives, roundtable discussions with
corporate representatives, expert seminars and
conferences.
Our social and networking events took place
throughout the year and offered an informal
platform to gain information and profit from other
companies’ experiences. They also served as a
platform to expand social and business contacts,
develop business opportunities and meet with
corporate and government representatives.
Another highlight was the Annual Members
Meeting (AMM), in which members received
information about EKONID departments’ activities,
as well as recent developments. This meeting saw
the election of new board members, who would
serve a two-year term. It was then followed by
a Business Luncheon with VIP Guest Speaker.
The AMM provided all members the opportunity
to gain first-hand information from the EKONID
management and board.
