the German Season 2015. The German Season is
not just an endless series of parties, it is the biggest

Sustainable Success
Some 25 – mostly long-term projects – reached
their peak within the German Season, which
covered 23 cities across the archipelago. The highly
diversified program included choirs from Germany
and Indonesia that combined their voices and
performed as one group; Indonesian artists who had
the opportunity to meet their German counterparts
and create unique works together; children and
young adults learning about scientific issues in
an entertaining way; and exhibitions that invited
visitors to travel and experience different cultures
of the world. Seminars and conferences on current
political and economic issues were also part of the
Jerman Fest.
Accompanied by an extensive PR-campaign, the
German Season, Jerman Fest or Deutsche
Saison gathered more than 4,900 social
media followers and counted about 100,000
visitors to their live events. Moreover was
the German Season able to present
Germany as an innovative and creative
partner across all areas. With new
projects like the ‘Game Mixer’, new
target groups have been developed
which demonstrates once more
that the German Season provided
an excellent platform for German-
Indonesian exchange and stood for
participation and innovation.
