In 2017, EKONID also proceeded to its first stages of
preparation of a dual vocational education program in the
profession of mechatronics.
Seminar Trainings
Being one of the core elements of the ICCQ platform, EKONID
started establishing a Seminar Trainings Calender based on a
pool of qualified training providers certified by the chamber.
EKONID introduced its concept of Trainer Pool and Calender as
well as several ideas of company-relevant seminar topics to HR
managers of companies and training providers in the frame of a
podium discussion in September 2017 generating high interest
of the participants.
Following last year’s start of a cooperation with the Swiss-
based Kuehne Foundation, EKONID jointly organized and
conducted a series of logistics seminars for companies and
logistics students in Jakarta and Bandung in September 2017,
supported by PT Voyage Logistic Indonesia, Kuehne + Nagel, the
Logistics School STIMLOG and Pos Indonesia.

EKONID examined and certified the performance of
226 trainers from companies, schools and other institutions

throughout the year in the frame of 9 Training of Trainers
(AdA international Basic Version) courses following German
standard. Eight of these one-week trainings - which took place
Jakarta, Karawang, Bekasi, Semarang, Yogyakarta, Malang,
Surabaya on Java island and in Balikpapan in East Kalimantan
– were organized by the vocational education partnership
project of sequa gGmbH / IHK Trier in cooperation with KADIN.
EKONID, which so far organizes Training of Trainers courses
solely for the purpose of qualifying teachers and in-company
trainers for its planned or running dual vocational education
courses, conducted 1 course in the framework of its industrial
mechanics dual program.
Outlook for 2018
The coming year will primarily be characterized by
the launch of the Seminar Trainings Calender for EKONID
member and non-member companies, as well as the further
development of the chamber’s dual programs towards
additional professions such as mechatronics.
