One ongoing publication, which is being done in
cooperation with EKONID’s Network “Law & Taxes”
program, is entering its third year. This cooperation
between EKONID, law firms, audit and tax advisors from
Indonesia and Germany ensures that requests that require
legal or taxation knowledge are answered and supported
by specialists with a high quality of professional expertise,
service, responsibility and experience. As of December
2017, EKONID has published 8 editions of its Newsletter
“Law & Taxes” and reached more than 3,000 readers across
Indonesia, Asia and Europe and more than 20,000 online
readers worldwide. We have also published, in cooperation
with our partner Schulz Noack Bärwinkel, our first Network
Law and Taxes “Compliance in Indonesia 2017: A Guide
into Compliance Practice in Indonesia”. The publication offers firsthand analysis and
testimonies from corporate legal experts who are active in Indonesia on the topic of
compliance. The purpose of this Guide is to enable interested companies to realize the
numerous opportunities of the huge emerging market of Indonesia while reducing the
corresponding risks for the companies.
In 2017, the Publication and Design team created,
designed, and printed over 8,000 collaterals within the scope
of 36 projects – covering a wide range of topics that runs the
gamut from infrastructure to food and beverages. The content
and designwork are strewed across a number of publications
that include the chamber’s quarterly business magazine,
SOROTAN, as well as several new limited publications.
For SOROTAN, a couple of highlights were the infographics
created in the March and December edition of the magazine
on Indonesia’s Maritime Axis project and our coverage of
Indonesia’s burgeoning pharmaceutical industry. Both of
these coverages were well received by readers. In addition, the
Publication and Design team also created and printed trade
guides for German trade delegations that visited Indonesia in
2017, such as those from the sectors of security technology
and healthcare.
In regards to our online presence, the Design and
Publication team was actively involved in the creation of the

(Jerman-Indonesia). Another major
and currently on-going project is the
development of the website for the
Asia Pacific Conference (APK) 2018.
This is done in tandem with various
other print and online components
that this massive event demands.
Furthermore, the Publication and
Design team was and remains engaged
in the creation of the ICCQ website – on
top of maintaining the existing websites
for EIBN, GABC and the website for AHK
Indonesia, EKONID.com.
Moving forward, on top of supporting activities related to
APK 2018 and the chamber’s regular activities, the Publication
and Design team will be concentrating on the planned
relaunch of the new AHK website.
