Bavarian Federal State Visits Indonesia
Export Initiative Energy: Biomass and
Biogas Delegation
On
October
11,
EKONID
welcomed a delegation of
members
of
the
ASEAN-
Committee of the Bundestag.
The visit was part of a week-long
trip to Indonesia to look into the
issues of economic relations,
forestry, climate change, human
rights and Aceh.
EKONID hosted a delegation from Bavaria from October 15-20.
Led by Mr. Franz Josef Pschierer MdL, State Secretary of the
Bavarian State Ministry for Economic Affairs and Media, Energy
and Technology, the Bavarian delegation got firsthand information
of the many business opportunities available in Indonesia.
From October 10-14, EKONID, in cooperation with
the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and
Energy, organized a conference to address the need for
alternative energy resources. Eight German companies
were invited from the sector of biogas and biomass to
visit Indonesia in order to explore the country’s market
potential and to offer solutions to its fast-growing
demand for energy.
