he team has a proven track record of successfully
arranging exhibitors and visitors to participate in and
visit trade fairs for the German Trade Fairs Organizer
(TFO), which it has been representing for over 40 years.
By the end of 2016, the Trade Fairs department has
assisted 103 companies in participating in events, oversaw
2,474 trade visitors and managed a total of 2,761sqm of space
sold at Trade Fairs events.
Some of the highlight events that the Trade Fairs
department were involved in are BAUMA, GAMESCOM, IMM
Cologne, SPOGA+GAFA, THAIFEX and the Hospital Expo.
BAUMA is the leading trade fair for Construction
Machinery, Building Materials Machines, Mining Machines,
Construction Vehicle and Construction Equipment. The
Indonesian government is well aware about the importance
of offering a more attractive investment and business
climate by improving on the nation’s infrastructure. In
this regard, the Ministry of Public Works & Housing of the
Republic Indonesia, the Ministry of Industry of the Republic
Indonesia, the Ministry of Energy & Mineral Resources of
the Republic Indonesian and the Indonesian Investment
Coordinating Board, initiated to have the Indonesia Pavilion
at BAUMA. Several activities in the pavilion included Business
Matchmaking arranged by the Indonesian government
and VDMA (the German Engineering Association) and its
members, followed by factory visits to BAUER and SIEMENS.
The year 2016 also saw Indonesia’s entry into the
Computer & Video Games Industry via the country’s
participation in GAMESCOM with the support of the the
Indonesian Creative Economy Agency. Five Indonesian
companies showcased their latest ideas and products at this
prestigious trade fair.
IMM Cologne 2016 was the sixth time Indonesia
participated in the International Furnishing Show. The
MinistryofIndustryoftheRepublicIndonesia,incollaboration
with the Indonesian Rattan & Furniture Association
(AMKRI), presented in one single platform the best products
and designs of Indonesian furniture manufactures. The
Indonesia Furniture Pavilion was strategically located in Hall
3.1 where it attracted the interests of 28 manufactures from
Jepara, Semarang, Cirebon and Jakarta. Also recorded were
the participation of two individual companies.
Two Indonesia Pavilion showed their latest products in
SPOGA+GAFA with the support of the Ministry of Trade
of the Republic Indonesia and the Indonesian Embassy in
Berlin in conjunction with the Indonesian Trade Promotion
Centre (ITPC) Hamburg. Presented at the garden show were
the latest products and innovations in garden furniture. As
many as 14 furniture manufactures were showcased in the
two pavilions, while 21 individual companies presented their
products throughout the exhibition floor.
At THAIFEX, the World of Food Asia, Indonesia showed
keen interest in developing its export of food and beverages
with the establishment of three Indonesia Pavilion supported
by the Ministry of Industry of the Republic Indonesia, the
Indonesian Embassy in Thailand and the Industry & Trade
Office of Central Java. The various products offered by the
exhibiting companies include canned food, specialty coffee
and tea products, alcohol-free drinks, fruits & vegetables,
meat & poultry, chilled & frozen meat products, halal and
organic products, sweets & confectioneries, and fine foods,
which included ready-to-eat, ready-to-serve and ready-to-
cook products.
Last but not least is the organizing of the German Pavilion
and Press Conferences in Indonesia as demonstrated by the
setting up of an info booth at Hospital Expo, which was
conducted in cooperationwithHamburgMesse undCongress
(HMC) and in cooperation with the German Association of
Medical Technology (SPECTARIS).
