Membership Report
By the end of 2014, EKONID counted a total number
of members as many as 449 and offered a wide range
of services to all members, consisting of German and
Indonesian companies as well as individual members. The
corporate members are classified by size and origin.
The membership list includes the main German and
Indonesian companies in various sectors like banking,
chemical and pharmaceutical, electrical, engineering,
construction, automotive and manufacturing.
As membership association is one of EKONID’s main
pillars, increasing the number of members is one of our
main targets. Therefore, more than 1,000 subscribers of
our chamber’s magazine SOROTAN have been informed
about benefits of EKONID membership.
EKONID membership is a one-stop information platform
for business people interested in commercial relations
between Germany, Indonesia and the Asia-Pacific region.
Our network provides access to top business leaders both in
Germany and Indonesia through a wide variety of events.
EKONID membership is open to German and Indonesian
companies, and also for other nationalities.
The chamber’s handbook and directory called “Business
Partners” is published every two years. It includes a
complete current listing of our member companies
and informs the detail about their companies, range
of products and services as well as contact persons. A
complimentary copy is given to all members, while extra
copies are available for purchase.
Events 2014
Again, in 2014 the EKONID Event Team organized a range
of events from our monthly networking gathering “Get
Together” to VIP Business Luncheons as well as the yearly
social events “Gruenkohlessen” (Green Cabbage dinner)
and “Spargelessen” (Asparagus dinner).
Joining our Get Together is one way to expand your
business opportunities in addition to the networking
experience with our VIPs and members. These events offer
a casual platform for after-office networking.
A well-planned Business Luncheon leaves a positive
impression on its attendees, creating an atmosphere that is
conducive to successful accomplishments in the meetings.
EKONID’s popular Grünkohlessen is an all-gentlemen event.
Not only was traditional German cuisine served, such as
sausage and green cabbage, the event delivered an authentic
German atmosphere complete with German musicians.
EKONID’s signature event, the well-known Asparagus
Dinner (Deutsches Spargelessen) was again one of the
year’s highlight with extra flown-in fresh asparagus from
Germany. More than 250 members and friends of EKONID
enjoyed the very special annual event.
