These publications include the chamber’s
Business Partner Directory, its quarterly business
magazine SOROTAN, its weekly and monthly
newsletters, as well as numerous brochures,
booklets and flyers utilized for the purposes of
EKONID and/or its partners.
In 2015, the Publication and Design Division
focused specifically on improving our quality
control efforts. We’ve reviewed our publication
guidelines and we have made significant changes
in order to keep our materials fresh and up-to-
date. These changes are reflected in but are not
limited to:
• Indonesia Country Profile for German
delegations from various sectors who had
visited or had been scheduled to visit the
archipelago.
• Supporting promotional and substantive
materials for events such as Oktoberfest
and Deutsche Saison/ JermanFest/German
Season.
• Numerous handbooks for partners such as
EY (Ernst & Young), EU-Indonesia Business
Network (EIBN) and Germany Trade & Invest
(GTAI).
German Season was, in particular, a massive
undertaking in which over 80 percent of the total
printed materials delivered by the Publication and
Design Division were dedicated to support the
event.
Projects Highlights
• AHK Philippine Annual Review 2014
• AHK Myanmar Logo
• AHK Myanmar Advertisements
• EU Delegation Trade Booklet

SOROTAN
As EKONID’s quarterly magazine, SOROTAN holds
the mandate of promoting the activities of EKONID
and its members, as well as updating readers with
the latest going-ons in regards to the Indonesian
and German business community. As of last year,
the magazine has maintained a circulation of
3,000 copies made available directly to EKONID’s
members and further distributed in over 40 locations
across Jakarta – including its greater areas of
Bekasi, Bogor, Depok and Tangerang – and the cities
of Solo and Surabaya, as well as the provinces of
Bali and Yogyakarta. It has also maintained an online
presence at the EKONID website, which boasts a
traffic of over 5,000 unique visitors per month and
20,000 pageviews.
Celebrating its 25
th
anniversary in 2015, SOROTAN
received a number of significant overhauls in terms
of design and content. The new SOROTAN took
full form approaching the end of last year with the
“To AEC and Beyond” issue. Articles have been
divided into the three categories of Cover Story,
Commentary and Regulars. Furthermore, the design
has been updated with more emphasis towards
cleanliness, professionalism and ease-in-readability.
Overall, the newly redesigned SOROTAN magazine
is expected to encourage more reader participation,
which will in turn allow us to be more involved with
our members.
