EKONID’s Corporate Services division’s key areas
of activities comprises of the incorporation of
companies, the set up of representative offices
– which recorded a significant rise in assessing
investment opportunities – and a multitude of
cross-border corporate, commercial, labour
and employment matters. Our practice areas
range from mergers and acquisitions, sales,
negotiating and finalizing joint venture agreements
to shareholder agreements. In addition we
documented corporate resolutions, applied for
and obtained essential licenses such as expatriate
immigration and work permit procedures and
liaised with relevant institutions. We took pride
in building and maintaining our excellent long-
standing partnerships with renowned clients
from the manufacturing, trading, construction,
automotive, transportation and medical technology
sector as well as our clients continuously
appreciated the highly qualified support combined
with a good cost-benefit-ratio.
For EKONID’s Network “Law & Taxes”, our
cooperation extends between EKONID and law
firms, audit and tax advisors from Indonesia and
Germany that specializes in certain fields of law and
taxes. It has been a quite interesting and successful
year despite aggregated circumstances that led to a
cut of the country’s economic growth forecast.
On-Site Support
The Corporate Services was also involved in
numerous events conducted throughout the year in
Indonesia and Germany where its experience and
expertise was highly appreciated.
One of the highlights was the first In-House
Legal Talk which was held from March 23 to 27 in
Germany. Within the scope of the In-House Legal
Talk, Ms. Silke Helmholz, Deputy Managing Director
and General Counsel and Mrs. Cassandra Paulira,
Senior Executive Corporate Services, were invited to
the premises of Dräger Medical GmbH, Kalenborn
Kalprotect GmbH & Co. KG, Logwin Air + Ocean
International GmbH, Robert Bosch GmbH, Loesche
GmbH.
Each company gained first-hand insights to tailor-
made solutions. We thank our clients for the
invitations and the given possibility to learn more
about the company and its corporate culture.
Furthermore, the department was highly
appreciated to participate in the Indonesian
Economic Updates: Economic Potentials through
Maritime Sector Development on the 1

of June
2015 at the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce,
whereby Mrs. Silke Helmholz gave a speech and
presentation on “A snapshot of ASEAN Economic
Community: Implications of investing in Indonesia’s
marketplace.”
From 18 August to 21 August, 2015, an international
delegation of ThyssenKrupp executives visited
Jakarta within the scope of a Learning Expedition
to learn more about the city’s exciting business
environment. On 18 August 2015, EKONID
invited the delegation to share its expertise on
Indonesia’s business dynamics, its legal aspects,
giving a market outlook and provided valuable
key information about business culture practices,
opportunities and pitfalls, as well as the political
framework in Indonesia. At this Lunch-Briefing,
the delegates highly appreciated the special
appearance of Mr. Jan Rönnfeld, Managing Director
of EKONID; Dr. Thorsten Hutter, Deputy Head of
Mission to Jakarta; as well as Dr. Roland Rohde,
Representative Indonesia, Germany Trade and
Invest GmbH.
The department was also significantly involved
in internal structural issues, such as EKONID’s

of EKONID’s multiple institutional and economic
cooperations from a legal point of view, which were
implemented throughout the year.
