Education facility.
The German – Indonesian Business Forum
The business forum, initiated and supported by EKONID,
organized by the Asia-Pacific Committee of German
Business (APA), was attended by over 200 CEOs and top-
level management representatives fromGerman companies
and government officials as well as a number of Indonesian
ministers and a delegation of 42 Indonesian business
leaders.
Opened by the APA Chairman Dr. Hubert Lienhard and
the Parliamentary State Secretary at the Federal Ministry
for Economic Affairs and Energy Ms. Iris Gleicke, President
Widodo addressed the audience in German language with
the statement “Ich bin ein Kölner” [I am a Cologner] in
reference to President Kennedy’s famous statement and
his own experience in Germany as furniture exhibitor at
IMM in the city of Cologne, 15 years before, which earned
