s many as six HCC conducted in 2016. While there
were a number of topics approached during the HCC
seminars, two topics continue to garner the most
interests throughout the years: Immigrations and foreign
workers.
The first topic were revisited in ‘The New Policy on
Visa-Free Visits and ITAS Online’ seminar on June 23,
2016. Led by Mr. Sutrisno from the Indonesia Immigrations
Office, the seminar saw a lively discussion on the latest
rules and regulations regarding foreign workers. The second
and closely related topic was visited in the ‘Implementasi
Penggunaan Tenaga Kerja Asing dan Permasalahannya’ (the
implementation of hiring foreign workers and related issues)
on October 20, 2016, which was also led by Mr. Sutrisno
from the Indonesia Immigrations office andMr. Hadi Saputro
from the Ministry of Manpower and Transmigration. These
particular seminars were more focused on the processes of
hiring and maintaining foreign workers.
A couple of topics also received high attention. The
seminar titled ‘Employee Engagement & Culture Strategist’
on April which was led by Ms. Cynthia Wihardja, the Firm
Owner & Executive Coach of ActionCOACH, is well regarded
by participants for providing solutions and ideas to the
subtleties of work culture.
The HCC also held two other seminars with the topics
‘How to Benefit from Cultural Differences in Business?’
on August, led by Ms. Silke Irmscher, Intercultural Trainer
& Coach from Germany, and ‘How to Handle Gen-Y or
Millennials’ on November 23, led by HR expert Mrs. Anggrita
